Innovation in agriculture is most impactful when engineering talent, academic institutions, and real-world agricultural challenges come together. At Farmioc, we strongly believe in enabling this collaboration, which is why we are proud to partner with R.V.R & J.C College of Engineering (R.V.R&J.C) as a Knowledge & Technology Partner for the National AgriTech Hackathon 2025, organized by RJ E-Nest.

The hackathon will be held on 22nd and 23rd December 2025 at the RVRJCCE campus and is being conducted in collaboration with ICAR-NAARM (aIDEA) and ICAR-IIMR (NutriHub), Government of India.

About the National AgriTech Hackathon 2025

The National AgriTech Hackathon 2025 focuses on engineering and technology-driven solutions across the following themes:

  • Agriculture

  • Aquaculture

  • Cattle Farming

  • Millet Foods

These focus areas represent real, on-ground challenges where technology, data, and engineering can play a meaningful role. The hackathon provides students with well-defined problem statements, encouraging them to move beyond theoretical concepts and build deployable, farmer-centric solutions.

Farmioc’s Role as a Knowledge & Technology Partner

Farmioc works in the agricultural data and market intelligence space, building platforms that help improve decision-making across agri value chains. As part of this hackathon, Farmioc is engaging as a Knowledge & Technology Partner, contributing through:

  • Industry-driven problem context and solution framing

  • Mentorship and technical guidance for student teams

  • Insights into applying data, analytics, and AI responsibly in agriculture

In addition, Farmioc is supporting the hackathon by sponsoring prizes for selected winning teams, recognizing practical and impactful solutions aligned with real agricultural challenges.

Our goal is to help bridge the gap between engineering innovation and agricultural adoption, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and relevant to farmers and agri-business stakeholders.

Encouraging Student-Led AgriTech Solutions

India’s agriculture sector presents unique complexities—diverse crops, regional variability, market fluctuations, and adoption constraints. Hackathons like this play a critical role in preparing students to think about:

  • Real-world usability, not just prototypes

  • Scalability and sustainability of solutions

  • Farmer accessibility and trust

The Innovation Expo organized on the occasion of Kisan Diwas, where solutions will be showcased directly to farmers, and agribusiness stakeholders reinforces the importance of building technology that delivers tangible value on the ground.

Looking Ahead

Farmioc is excited to support and engage with the participants of the National AgriTech Hackathon 2025. We look forward to learning from innovative ideas, supporting promising teams, and contributing to solutions that can help strengthen India’s agricultural ecosystem.

We commend RJ E-Nest, R.V.R&J.C management, and partner organizations including ICAR, AP Innovation Society, RICH, ICRISAT, NABARD, and supporting NGOs for creating a strong platform for agri-innovation and student entrepreneurship.
